1.Shipping of the Mirabook and Other Products

 

 

When will I receive my Mirabook?

We will keep you updated about the delivery date on our website, social media and newsletter. Shipping is expected to start in September 2019.

 

Where do you ship to in the world?

Our shipping partners use multiple couriers for worldwide delivery and we will ship to any place where they deliver. For further information about local distributors please click here.

 

How much will I pay for the delivery costs to my country?

You normally pay $15 of delivery costs for one Mirabook, but if you buy several or others adds-ons, our delivery fees apply on the weight of the total package. Shipping costs may vary slightly, depending on what country do we have to ship your package. 

 

Where can I buy the Mirabook? Will it be available in retail stores?

The Mirabook will be available in different retail stores depending on the country. If it is not in a store near you, it will be available to buy online to ship anywhere in the world. You can also click here to see local distributors in your country. 

 

Does the Mirabook comes with the cable or do I have to buy it separately?

When you buy a Mirabook it comes equipped with a USB-C cable, charger and the color touch that you have chosen.  

 

Does the Color Touch comes with the Mirabook?

Yes it does, and you can choose the color of your preference. 

 

What is “The Slide”? Does the Slide works only with the Mirabook?

The slide is a phone stand designed by Miraxess to make it easier to hold your phone beside the Mirabook. This accessory is unique to the Mirabook to comfortably install the slide on your right hand side.

 

Does the Slide comes already in the box?

No it does not and it needs to be ordered separately. The Slide is an accessory designed specifically for the Mirabook. You can see more about the Slide and other Miraxess ́ accessories if you click here.

 

 

2. Mirabook Compatibility

 

 

What are the phone specification requirements to use the Mirabook?

The phone must support Display-Port over USB Type-C (click here to see the list of compatible phones or you may ask your manufacturer). We plan to develop an adapter to convert Display-link to Display-Port for phones without Display-Port support.

 

What is Display-Port™ over USB Type-C?

Display-Port™ over USB Type-C enables the delivery of full Display-Port A/V performance (driving monitor resolutions of 4K and beyond), Super-speed USB (USB 3.1) data and up to 100 watts of power with the convenience of reversible plug orientation and cable direction. Display Port™ is the best A/V protocol to be carried over USB Type-C.

 

Can I use an iPhone with the Mirabook?

It is not possible, Apple devices won’t work with the Mirabook. Only devices with Display-Port will work and USB Type-C technology are compatible with the Mirabook.

Why doesn’t my phone have Desktop Interface?

Currently there are 2 main companies manufacturing phones with Desktop Interface; Samsung and Huawei. These companies have decided to create phones that can be used as desktop PCs thanks to their native desktop interface app.  For further information, please click to learn more  about  Desktop Interface on Samsung DeX or Huawei EMUI Desktop.

 

 

3. Mirabook Usage

 

 

Can you put the phone on the left side of the Mirabook?

You can only put the phone on the right side since the cable ́s slot entrance is on that side.

 

What happens if I receive a call when my phone is plugged to the Mirabook?

You will be able to pick up the call directly on your mobile phone and on the Mirabook as well.

 

Does the screen of the Mirabook stay on when my phone is locked?

It will depend on the OS you are running. For example, with Windows Continuum or Samsung DeX, this function is included.

 

How do I check the battery level?

You can press the battery level gauge button on the keyboard to see the battery level.

 

Can I charge my phone while it is connected to the Mirabook?

Yes, you can charge your phone when you connect  it to the Mirabook. As well, there is an option available on the keyboard to choose whether or not to charge your phone so the Mirabook ́s battery life can last longer. 

 

How do I charge my Mirabook? How long is the battery life?

The Mirabook is provided with a USB Type-C charger and once it is fully charged you can use your Mirabook for more than 15 hours.

 

What is the layout that I get with my Mirabook?

The keyboard is basically a QWERTY but you can change the layout on the add-ons page for an AZERTY or QWERTZ.

 

Will there be other keyboard layout?

We really want to have international keyboard layouts, but it will depend upon quantity required. We invite you to share the campaign page to your friends so we can reach the minimum order quantity for your keyboard. At first, only QWERTY, QWERTZ and AZERTY keyboard will be available.

 

Can I change the brightness of the screen or adjust the audio level by using hotkey?

Yes you can with the buttons available on the keyboard.  

 

 

4. Support and After Sale Service

 

 

Why doesn’t my phone work with the Mirabook?

You phone may not work with the Mirabook because of either 2 of the following factors:

  1.  The phone may not have Desktop Interface. It most certainly may not be a Mirabook problem, but  a problem with phone compatibility. Your device needs to have USB-C port Display-Port  supported by Desktop Interface. 
  2. There may be a technical problem with the smartphone. If the Mirabook screen says “connect your phone” and you connect your phone and it only charges it, there may be a problem with the phone and not a Mirabook problem.

 

What are the possible issues and challenges?

The Mirabook is nearly complete. The final prototypes shown on this page and in the videos were built on our partner ODM’s production line. We’ve done our very best to forecast demand and create a solid production plan and we are ready to meet the estimated delivery times. However, component delays and unexpected shortages can occur and sometimes forecasts don’t always hit the mark. If this happens, we’ll let you know why and make it right as quickly as possible

Why was the project delayed?

Our R&D team has suggested to delay the project to invest more money and time so we may be able to deliver a good quality product. Also since it is a new product on the market, our production is still relatively small, so we are fixing the final challenges to start delivering in September 2019.
